Theresa and Edward O'Toole Library Exhibit - Walt Whitman: A Bicentennial Tribute (Multi-Day Event)
The Library honors the legacy of Walt Whitman with an exhibit featuring biographical information, books, images, poetry excerpts, and quotes.

Constitution Day Keynote Speaker-- Chief Justice Deborah Poritz
This year is the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution which gave women the right to vote. Come celebrate Constitution Day and the anniversary of the 19th Amendment with someone who has broken a few glass ceilings for women in NJ. Deborah Poritz was the FIRST woman to serve as Attorney General of NJ. She was also the FIRST woman to serve as Chief Justice of the NJ Supreme Court. As our Constitution Day keynote speaker, Chief Justice Poritz will share her personal story as well as her insights on the 19th Amendment and the Constitution as it relates to our world today. After Chief Justice Poritz’s talk-- and YOUR questions-- lunch will be served!

Arts on Bergen: Trio Solla-Cheek-Labro

Trio Solla-Cheek-Labro is an ensemble comprised of pianist and music inventor Emilio Solla, saxophonist Chris Cheek, and bandoneon/accordion player Julien Labro. The trio’s all-original, genre-transcendent vibe is rooted in the classic Latin-American tradition.
